It is now three months since we completed the Tour; over that time I have not done too much cycling as I have been busy catching up with all the stuff that took a back seat during the training!
So, would I do it again? Most definitely. It was a great experience and one that I now have fond memories of, particularly seeing the country from end to end and also the sense of achievement it produced. We also met some great people along the way and everyone was most helpful and supportive that we came across in all the towns and villages (apart from the bus driver who hit me and the car/caravann driver that hit Nick!).
I must say that I do miss the long training rides and wonder how I ever managed to fit them in. I can feel the fitness level slowing ebbing away so will need to train over the winter to keep a base level for next year.
The ride was to celebrate being 50 so I think I will do it again when I am 60!
